National Institute for Vocational Education and Training is a public institution founded in 1995 by the Government and co-founded by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the Chamber of Craft of Slovenia. The Centre performs research, developmental and advisory activities and is the focal point where interests of the state and social partners in vocational and technical education converge, coordinate and connect. The Centre studies developmental trends in labour markets and prepares profiles of occupations and competence-based vocational standards (occupational standards) that form the basis for the preparation of educational programmes of vocational and technical education and for certification of national vocational qualifications. The Centre develops methodologies and prepares modern module-based educational programmes of short-term, secondary as well as post-secondary vocational education. Other basic activities include the monitoring and introduction of educational programmes, evaluation of school-leaving exams and the vocational matura as well as the development of new methodical and didactic concepts of knowledge, learning and teaching. The Centre is also the National Reference Point for national vocational qualifications. Thus the Centre gives an insight into the national qualification framework and in accordance with the recommendations of the EU provides information vital for the transparency of vocational qualifications. The Centre cooperates with EU organizations and is also a reference point for the CEDEFOP TT-net – the European network for teacher and trainer training. The Centre is actively involved in the designing of the National Qualifications Framework of Slovenia, the representative of institution are participating in the experts group in development of the EQF descriptors. The Centre stands also as a National EQF contact point as well as Europass national point.

Danmar Computers is a private firm which specialises in supplying trainings in the range of IT and implementation of IT systems. The company mainly deals with: trainings, developing programs and training materials, counselling, designing web pages, e-learning systems and conducting international authorized exams in the range of computer applications. Danmar has experience of many years of carrying out EU educational programs, within the framework of which it conducts research and educational activities as well as dissemination campaigns. All actions are based on the system of cooperation with domestic and foreign training and counselling institutions, universities, schools, local governments, non government institutions as well as private sector companies. One of the main areas of activities is research of labour market in order to fight with unemployment. Danmar's mission is promoting life-long education and assuring equal opportunities of access to education for everyone with the use of modern technology.

Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is a non-governmental, voluntary organization uniting Latvian companies of different sectors. LCCI promotes favourable business environment, represents economic interests of Latvia’s enterprises and offers business promotion services. The Chamber is in constant dialogue with the central government institutions and local governments and is involved in developing proposals for commercial legislation. LCCI has 7 regional offices in the territory of Latvia. LCCI has around 850 active members in Latvia. LCCI has a training center, which provides information support and training in the form of courses, seminars and workshops. In the period from 2005 to 2008 LCCI has participated in 21 international projects, related to mobility of entrepreneurs and SME managers; mentoring projects; training and stimulation of women in business, intercultural communication, tolerance and respect towards people from different cultures, etc.

Baltic Bright (BB) is an adult education and consulting centre. It has been officially registered by the Ministry of Education of Latvia as an education institution. The aims of the training center are to improve skills and competences of adults in response to labour market needs, to promote their employability and inclusion, to promote entrepreneurship. The key activities include organizing training courses for individuals and companies, developing specialized non-formal training programs, development and implementation of lifelong learning projects. Training courses for individuals and organizations include general language courses for learners of English, Latvian, Russian, Polish, Finnish, Swedish, German and other languages. BB develops and offers specialized courses for improving communication skills of managers and entrepreneurs: English for MBA students, English for Presentations, Intercultural Communication for managers and entrepreneurs. BB has been or is involved in EU LLP Grundtvig multilateral, KA2 Languages, Leonardo da Vinci, KA1-ECET projects. With the support of EU financing, BB has developed an interactive ICT-based intercultural training program for entrepreneurs, which was tested with groups of entrepreneurs in Latvia and other countries. BB has small administrative staff (2-3 people) and 15-20 teachers and trainers. BB is a member of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and of Latvian Association of Adult Education.

RTD Talos Ltd was established in 2000. Ever since the company has strategically positioned itself between the academia, SME’ and the government, benefiting from dissemination and training most importantly. Previous experience in the area under investigation, in EU level can be illustrated by a number of projects RTD Talos Ltd has taken part. Having been the National Point of Contact for SME’s in FP5 and FP6 we have acquired significant experience in disseminating information regarding European programmes. We have recently been appointed as country correspondents for ERAWATCH in order to report the latest about R&D and Innovation in Cyprus. We have acted as consultants and evaluators for the Ministry of Finance (Planning Bureau) for a number of EU funded schemes.

CNIPMMR is the only employers’ confederation representing SMEs at national level, irrespective of their activity field. The key mission of CNIPMMR is to promote and protect the interests (economic, commercial, financial, juridical and of any other nature) of SMEs in Romania. Since 2002, CNIPMMR is implementing projects financed by UE, focused on supporting and developing the needs of SMEs. CNIPMMR was/is coordinator or partner within several projects financed by Leonardo da Vinci programme, PHARE or ESF funds. All these projects implemented by CNIPMMR are contributing to carry on its mission, which is to offer services to Romanian SMEs such as information, training and consultancy. CNIPMMR has a vast experience in implementing European projects and its portfolio includes over 35 European projects (since 2002).The experience related to the proposed project is the result of several projects carried out so far, concerning VET and human resources training in various fields.

ARCA is a private consortium established in 2003. Members of ARCA are the University of Palermo, Easy Integrazione di Sistemi s.r.l. and Associazione SINTESI. As a business incubator located within the University Campus of Palermo, ARCA intends to be an instrument of economic development able to boost the growth and success of innovative business ideas by means of a structured network of resources and services. Therefore the main goal of the incubator is to generate successful companies, that are able to go out from the support program being autonomous and financially reliable.

The access to the ARCA Incubator is reserved to new companies with a high technological profile that include both academic groups and external subjects interested in developing relationships with university research centres. So far more than 30 innovative companies have been admitted to ARCA and have been hosted at ARCA premises.

In addition to fully equipped spaces, ARCA offers also an integrated system of support services (such as assistance to strategic planning, marketing support, administrative and tax consulting, fund raising, managerial mentoring etc…) and modern technology labs in the field of electronics, graphics, mechanical prototypes design and optical research support product design and choices of industrialization techniques.

The fields of interest of ARCA incubated start-up companies are: eco-design and eco-compatible materials, techniques for the re-use of water: innovative desalination systems, wind energy, geothermal energy, energy saving and efficiency, remote sensing, GIS, cultural heritage information technologies and diagnostic tools, medical imaging, biotechnologies, software for agronomic services, marine environment technologies, yachting design.

The consortium has managed from 2004 to 2008 the project named “Centre for the Applied Research and Academic Spin-off”, funded by the National Board for Economic Development for a total budget of € 2.528.314. From 2008 to 2010 it has managed the project named “IDRA – Imprese dalla Ricerca Avanzata”, funded by the National Board for Economic Development for a total budget of € 3.515.000.

Within the two projects, ARCA carried out the following activities: scouting of business ideas, technical assistance to business plan development, feasibility and market studies, technology infrastructures, support to start-up phase (financial administration, strategic planning, fund raising, technology assessment, benchmarking, technology forecasting, training on innovation management).

In 2009 ARCA has participated in the FIXO project – Action 4, funded by the Ministry of Labour, carrying out training and tutoring activities for academic spin-off companies, for a total amount of € 75.000,00.

From 2005 ARCA is a sponsor of Start Cup Palemo business plan competition, organized in the frame of National Innovation Prize, Italy.

From January 2011 ARCA is a partner of the EEN – Enterprise Europe Network, funded by the EC under the CIP framework programme. ARCA is a member of the Mechatronics Productive District in Sicily grouping more than 150 companies.

Action Synergy S.A. is an ICT R&D, training and knowledge- based applications organization which is actively involved in the development of education technologies, training methodologies and the development of e-learning training courses. Action Synergy S.A. disposes a long experience in the management and coordination of European Projects. It is currently coordinating six projects in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme. Since its foundation in 1987 the organization has participated in a considerable number of EU educational projects, such as COMETT, PETRA, SOCRATES, LEONARDO DA VINCI, ARTICLE 6, ADAPT, TEMPUS, PHARE,-Distance learning.
